Maps

 

The first three maps are a series of Illustrated Nautical Charts I designed, wrote, and illustrated for NOAA’s Office of the Coast Survey. They show how charts are created, what the symbols mean, the ecosystems represented on them, and some of the history behind them. Many people in the Office of the Coast Survey taught me how they to read and create the charts. Educators told me the charts were very useful for teaching at the grade school and college level.

 

The last map is a picture of the Pacific basin from Tsunami Warning. Currently, I am working on a series of maps with the Saben Group that relate to STEM and watershed issues.
