Currently I am working with the Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District on a series of images about how we can care for our watersheds.

Worked with an excellent design team at 3/Thirds to create light hearted and fun portraits of many of their client's executives. The art was done all digitally, but required classical drawing and painting skills.

Samples will be available soon!

Client Quote

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Taylor on a particularly tricky illustration engagement for one of our clients.  Long story short, he was simply a joy to work with.  Besides delivering amazing designs that completely exceeded our client’s expectations, he was so pleasant to work with.  He was willing to dig into the challenge and take vague, often contradictory direction and feedback, and turn it in to something beautiful.  He regularly helped us brainstorm different approaches to the clients feedback of “not working”, and at the end of the project we had a VERY happy client and a project that was delivered early.  I would absolutely work with Taylor again on future engagements and would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a brilliant designer and illustrator."

Created illustrations, page designs, and text for a book about an innovative and pioneering company called WEST Engineering Services. I visually explained complex concepts about deep sea drilling . Learned and researched with industry leading engineers and hired an expert copy editor to complete the work. The book is a unique and fascinating look into their work, history, and engineering concepts. It will be published soon. Also created art for

Cotton Gin International about their amazing water well program.

"When I say that I have never met a more eager candidate to learn about a technically complex topic such as blow out prevention equipment, I am speaking most sincerely of Taylor Morrison. In November of 2015, Taylor came highly recommended to our company by way of world-renowned writer/illustrator David Macaulay, author of The Way Things Work. We were searching for an artist who could help us bring to life a corporate history book about WEST Engineering Services – an oilfield services company that specialized in the testing, inspection and maintenance of blowout prevention equipment.

When David read my email about our book and how we desperately wanted to convey the big picture of how a drilling rig works and dig into the details of how blowout prevention equipment works, he pointed me right to Taylor. After a few phone calls with Taylor, a review of his previous work, and a few samples later, it became clear to us that he was the right person who could help us distill some of our advanced topics into an easy-to-digest visual format for readers.

Taylor came to see us in Houston March 2016, and at that time, not only did we spend a few days meeting and talking about visuals we wanted technically illustrated for our book, we were also able to secure a tour of a warm-stacked drilling rig in Galveston. Taylor had obviously done his research. He asked good, insightful questions that showed he was an active learner and studier of offshore drilling and well control equipment.

After leaving Houston, Taylor and I worked closely for several months as he prepared multiple illustrations and text for our book. In the end, Taylor created three priceless drawings – 1) Understanding how hydrocarbons are formed 2) Understanding well-control equipment 3) Understanding the regulatory influence in offshore drilling. Each piece stands alone as an educational work of art. Not only are the illustrations going to be used in our book, we will also repurpose them throughout our historic Cotton Gin facility as the great, educational art pieces they are.

I can’t enough to Taylor professionalism and eagerness to learn more about the subject matter. He is a naturally curious person and listens well to his clients. I enjoyed working with him, and welcome future opportunities to work together – he is a remarkable artist and writer."
